Shrine of Our Lady of Madhu ⛪

MADHU CHURCH 

 

Madhu church shelling or Madhu church massacre is the name for the shelling of the Shrine of Our Lady of Madhu in Sri Lanka.

This church situated at mannar district.I have been to this church several times.tamil and sinhala Catholics live in this area.

Catholics believe that this is a church where many miracles take place.I have been entrusted to the Mother of God who is dedicated here on special occasions in my life. 

The church feast on August 15th festival has drawn the biggest crowds because it is one of the most hallowed days for Catholics. The feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven, and it comes during school holidays  entire families can make the trip.

    

     The mass is conducted here by the Fathers including the Archbishop

Next week my family members go to this blessing church for praying to mother of god.
